The boat, sunk hundreds of feet below the surface, was a great ocean cruise liner. Several people and pokemon were still trapped. Meanwhile, up top, many people wearing life jackets and clinging to floating pieces of wood, plastic; anything that was still floating. The sky was an angry, cloudy gray, and waves were rolling endlessly. The people were scattered, in groups of two or three on the biggest pieces of wood, each screaming when a huge wave rolled through their midst, some being taken under, only to bob back up the the surface, the rain left to pound in their ears and the lightning to flash in the sky. They were so tired, and there was already so much noise, that they didn't hear the wingbeats above.
"Flygon! Fly, fly-gon, fly fly!"
It called, and a flamethrower tore through the sky. This time, the people noticed. They all called for the ground dragon pokemon, and then they all gasped as more pokemon arrived. A Salamence, a Latias, and a Dragonite were at her side in a heartbeat, on the Latias a black haired girl. No one could tell from the distance, but she was blind. Then the water rolled again, as a Lapras swam to a halt in the heart of the people. They'd already started climbing up, the Lapras hardly fazed, being full grown and being a very large Lapras at that. Aside from that, the pokemon had a necklace around it's powerful neck, a small glass dewdrop hanging as a pendant from it, water swishing inside, giving off a faint glow. The violet-indigo colored pokemon sat patiently as ten people climbed aboard before there was no more room. Then, the dragons began lowering themself into the water, Salamence first, then Dragonite, and lastly Flygon. People climbed onto the huge pokemons' backs, the winged retilians taking them on as easily as Chie, the Lapras had. They could only hold about three each, at max, but that's where the next arrival came in. A huge lump was heading towards the people, who stared, frightened, but the huge lump broke surface and revealed a huge Wailord. Rope ladders led up to a saddle-like structure, but way bigger. It could fit about a hundred people, and everyone swam for it, climbing as fast as their cold limbs would allow. All the while, he black haired girl sat on her Latias, who was about as big as Dragonite, letting the cold rain soak her.

"Ronan, here's your Wailord back. I really appreciate you letting me borrow it."
"No problem. Really. You were great. You have no idea how thankful all us Rangers are."
"Thanks, but I don't want anything. I'm not a charity fund."
"Please, just take this. Just this, and I swear I'll get everyone to leave you alone."
"... Fine."
The brown haired male smiled, and placed something in her hand. Hre blind eyes stared at it. A... master ball? Where the hell did he get this? He was a ranger, for god sakes, not a trainer!
"Where did you--"
"I was on a mission, and this wierd old man gave it to me. Don't mention it. Seeya, little blind girl."
He teased, and she glared as he left. She looked at the masterball and wondered what would happen if she threw the pokeball at him... She grimaced, and tucked away the purple sphere in her vest pocket.

"RIO--LU!"
"Come on Kane, you can do it!"
Cried the ebonite haired girl, whose silver eyes were determined.
"Sky Uppercut!"
She called, and the pre-evolution of Lucario jumped up while beneath the jaw of the Rhyperior, who was knocked back, falled onto it's back after the direct blow.
"Well done!"
"Thank you, Mistress Stella."
"... Stop calling me that."
The Riolu blinked, then nodded once. The defeated Rhyperior was returned by it's trainer, who grinned and nodded to the now indifferent victor. The small black and blue canine-like humanoid was now on her shoulder. The trainer approached.
"You really are as strong as they say! Sorry for underestimating you because of your blindness. Seeya!"
The kid said, and offered his hand. Kane shook it instead, and then the owner of the Rhyperior ran off.

"We'll never find one, you know how rare shiny pokemon are..."
"Shut it, Kane. I know."
The two were riding Chie, the Lapras, along the route they'd rescued the shipwrecked people on the day before. One of the survivors had said they'd seen a red Gyarados rearing it's head above the waves before the boat sunk, and some of the other survivors who had been rescued from the ship after it was underwater said they saw a glimpse of crimson red as they were taken to the surface.
The three pushed on through the wood and other bits of debri as they searched the sea for the beast that might have caused the wreckage, the masterball in Stella's pocket feeling awfully heavy.
